Presence of thromboembolism or age greater than 60 and JAK2 mutation = high-risk
Age > 60 and negative JAKL2 mutation = intermediate risk
Age < 60 and the presence of JAK2 mutation = low risk Age < 60, no prior history of thrombosis, no prior history of JAK2 mutation = Very low risk
